What “Power Moves” in NEW BEAUTY Means to Me

When I first saw my story published in “Power Moves” in NEW BEAUTY, I paused.

Not because of the recognition — but because of the journey.

To be featured in NEWBEAUTY is an honor in itself. It’s a publication that spotlights innovation, leadership, and the future of beauty. But to be included in a feature titled Power Moves? That felt deeply personal.

Because for me, power has never been about position. It’s about purpose.

Power Isn’t a Title — It’s a Responsibility

After 37 years in the professional beauty industry — from executive boardrooms to founding my own company — I’ve learned that real power is not about climbing higher. It’s about lifting others as you rise.

When I launched privé products, I didn’t set out to build just another haircare brand. I set out to build something conscious. Something clean. Something that performs at the highest level — without compromise.

A women-owned, women-led company grounded in one simple belief:

Beauty is Kindness.

The Real Power Move

The real power move isn’t being featured.

It’s staying aligned.

Aligned with our promise:
• No harsh sulfates
• No artificial dyes
• Vegan
• Cruelty-free
• Transparent
• Responsible

Aligned with our belief that when women support women, industries change.
Aligned with the idea that performance — whether on the racetrack or in your haircare — should never require compromise.

This moment is a milestone. But it’s also momentum.

I am grateful — for the mentors who shaped me, the team who stands beside me, the community that believes in privé, and the customers who trust us.

And I am just getting started.

If this feature shows anything, it’s that purpose-driven leadership resonates. That authenticity matters. That kindness is strength.

To NEW BEAUTY — thank you!

To every woman reading this — your power move is waiting.

With gratitude,
Shay
