privé products are pure enough to use as skincare. we don’t use ingredients with the potential to absorb into the skin and enter your bloodstream.
the average consumer is going to hear “if you can’t pronounce it, don’t use it” but that mantra is getting old. we know that it’s the amount of exposure that creates the risk, or what is commonly referred to as “the dose makes the poison.” we’re not here to scare you. our aim is to minimize your exposure to harmful ingredients by replacing your shampoo, conditioner, and hair products with privé. we’re as natural as you need us to be.
our preservatives are food-grade and contain sorbic acid, salicylic acid, and lactic acid. our products also contain vitamin E and we use a healthy preservative found in green tea and chicory, phenoxyenthanol.
when we use surfactants, we get as far away from sulfates as you can get. We use isothiocyanates or SCI, sodium cocoyl isocyanate, or torates. (fun fact: they have to be cooked to create the emulsion that makes up our rich, creamy shampoo.)
we use a silicone that’s environmentally friendly: dimethicone. it also washes out with shampoo, so you won’t see buildup.
then there’s our water quality. when the mountain water comes into our facility from a reservoir, it reads at 22 parts per million of solid particles, but we get it to as low as 0 with our deionization process. we mix that with our pure, raw ingredients and get a blend that’s akin to an herbal tea, and then we add the rest of our ingredients.
